在系统安装的时候，在区域选项中，选择中国，以及加载相应的中文输入法，就可以让WIN 2000<br>
或 WIN XP 英文版自动支持中文。这种中文支持具有这样的特点：<br>
（1）MS WIN 系统的菜单和所有英文应用软件菜单都保持原来的英文风格不变，即菜单仍然是英文；<br>
（2）中文软件以及中文文件名可以以中文化的方式显示；<br>
（3）网页浏览器浏览网页时，既能显示中文，也能显示西文。<br>

我的问题就是：在LINUX系统下，有没有可能有类似MS WINDOWS的办法，即使通过安装<br>
SIMSUN等字体等等汉化办法，但像WINDOWS系统一样，保持其原来的英文菜单不变， 但在遇到<br>
中文文件名或浏览中文网页时，可以正确地显示中文。当然，与此同时，希望有合适的中文输<br>
入法。<br>

简单！本来是中文，只要在/usr/share/locale中把zh_CN改为zh_CN.OLD，重启xwindow就行了。<br>

请问要让MS Windows上的X client的软件能够连上去跑X window,在linux server上需要作什么设定吗<br>

首先要把运行级改为5，在/etc/inittab.conf中改<br>
如果你安装的是redhat7。3以上的gnome，其中有个gdm管理器，在里面设置支持xdmcp协议即可。<br>
