笔者最喜欢的，是用GTK+ 写的Grip 。<br>

Grip 实际上并不是MP3 encoder 或抓CD Track 程序，它只不过是提供了一个简单易用的图形界面，这样大家就不必再用command 制作MP3 了。而CD ripper (抓CD Track 程序)方面，Grip 支持cdparanoia 和cdda2wav。再看MP3 encoder，它支持bladeenc、lame、l3enc、xingmp3enc、mp3encode 和gogo 等，相当利害！笔者用的是cdparanoia 和bladeenc 。<br>

您可以选择其中一个CD ripper 和MP3 encoder，安装完毕后才能使用Grip。如果您用的是rpm ，笔者建议您使用cdparanoia/cdda2wav + gogo，他们的RPM 可到以下网址下载：<br>

如果您用的是Debian / Corel / Storm linux，您可以选择用cdparanoia/cdda2wav 这两个Debian 套件，但因为版权问题，Debian 并没有MP3 Encoder 的套件，您需自行安装。<br>

当您安装好CD ripper 和MP3 Encoder 后，便可用Grip 制作MP3 了。Grip 的网址是： http://www.nostatic.org/grip<br>
您可到“http://www.nostatic.org/grip/grip-2.94-1.i386.rpm ”下载其RPM 套件，而Debian 套件则为grip，您可用apt-get 下载并安装。<br>
输入执行指令grip，您就可以看到Grip 的主程序画面了。首先，我们要设置好所用的CD ripper 和MP3 encoder。点击Config 页，再选Rip，在Ripper 中选取已经安装好的CD Ripper。再从Config 中选MP3，在Encoder 一栏中选取一个已安装的MP3 encoder。接着您就可以把您心爱的Audio CD 放进光驱，随即就能看到Tracks 中的表单已自动更新。如果您有时间，您可以点按下面的“铅笔”键，给CD 和Tracks 起个适当的名称。在表单中，我们要按mouse 的右键选择歌曲，选择好后，选取Rip 页，按Rip+Encode，那么被选的Tracks 就作成MP3 了。Grip 也可以抓Track 中的一部份，选取Rip partial track，按Play，记下该部份开始和完结时的sector，分别到Start sector 和End sector 输入即可。当过程完毕后，作好的MP3s 就在home director 中的mp3 目录里了，即~/mp3/ 。<br>

KDE 系：Krabber<br>
<br>
Krabber 是另一个CD Ripper 和MP3 Encoder 的frontend。Krabber 是用QT 和KDE library 开发的，因此只有KDE 的用户才可使用，此为Krabber 的一大缺点……，（笔者一向不用KDE，好不容易才装好KDE）。Krabber 支持cdparanoia、8hz-mp3、lame、encode、bladeenc、l3enc、mp3enc、xingmp3enc，但Krabber 能自动侦测系统有无所需的元素。它需要用mpg123 才能播放MP3。Krabber 的设置和Grip 差不多，format 选择已安装的MP3 encoder，Generic Options 中第一格选择您的input device，如/dev/hdc (CDROM drive )等。Krabber 有一项功能是Grip 没有的，就是调节CPU 资源，这样就可以一边工作，一边录制MP3 了。Krabber 还算易用，只须按照它的四个步骤：<br>
选择歌曲、选择目录、文件名称、执行，即可。<br>
