mms client

README

The client can be started by using the 'bearerbox' executable.
This will read its configuration settings from the file 'kannel.conf'.

The following are new configuration parameters that are required
or optional for the MMS client:

(group=smsc)

Use the following if a dial-up connection is your only means of
retrieving MMS Messages.

dialup-interface        which interface is used for the dial-up connection (optional)
start-dialup            executable to run to start a dial-up connection (optional)
stop-dialup             executable to run to stop a dial-up connection (optional)

(group=smsbox)

sms-directory           directory in which to store new SMS messages (mandatory)
sms-signal-file         the name of any new SMS message file is appended to this (mandatory)
sms-signal-url          if specified, this URL is called when a new SMS message
                        file is available (optional)
                                              
(group=mmsclient)

mms-directory           directory in which to store new MMS messages (mandatory)               
mms-signal-file         the name of any new MMS message file is appended to this (mandatory)   
mms-signal-url          if specified, this URL is called when a new MMS message                
                        file is available (optional)                                           
wap-bearer-interface    interface that is used to retrieve new MMS messages (mandatory)
mms-sc-url              address of the MMS service centre (mandatory)
wap-ipaddress           if specified: use WSP to download new MMS messages; this is the IP
                        address of the WAP relay (optional)
wap-port = 8201         Wap relay connection oriented traffic port

If "wap-ipaddress" is absent the client will attempt to retrieve new
MMS messages using HTTP.

See the "NEWS" file for a quick overview of tested/untested features
and current know problems.

To re-iterate: this is an alpha release. It is most likely only of use
to developers and serious tinkerers.
