<P>My apologies for this off-topic post, but it seems that a lot of experts use 
<BR>this website and I need some help... 
<P>I have a PowerBuilder application that calls a DLL. The DLL launches a 
<BR>QuickWin application. When the QuickWin application exits, the 
<BR>PowerBuilder application no longer has the input focus. I modified the 
<BR>DLL to save and restore the input focus with Get/SetForegroundWindow(). This 
<BR>works OK, except when there is another application on the screen in a 
<BR>non-minimized state. In that case, the other application gets the input 
<BR>focus for a short period of time causing a flicker. Sometimes this 
<BR>short period of time is rather long as the PowerBuilder application 
<BR>destroys (I think) the window that I restored the focus to and it takes 
<BR>some time for it to get around to repainting itself. 
<P>It does not matter if I launch the QuickWin application with SW_HIDE, 
<BR>SW_SHOWMINIMIZED, or SW_SHOWNORMAL; there is still some &quot;funny&quot; behavior 
<BR>when it exits. 
<P>I suspect that I am having a Z-Order problem wherein the exit sequence 
<BR>of the QuickWin application causes another application, not the 
<BR>PowerBuilder application, to receive the input focus. 
<P>I would rather have the system just behave as if the dll were called and 
<BR>then returned from, without any side-effect from the exit sequence of 
<BR>the QuickWin application. Any ideas? Thank you.
