<P>It is created on the heap, or declared in the header of the class!
<P>	CFile m_File;
<BR>    CFileException FileError;
<P>The CFileException reports 11 as the error code. Nice of Microsoft not to explain what 11 means !
<P>If I use the old FILE* fptr; then open and close the file, I can re-open any time.
<P>I've tended towards using FILE* as CFile really uses it in the core anyway.
<BR>I wanted to use &quot;fluff&quot; around CFile to try and keep the whole code more consistent with MFC.
<P>I made a class and called it CReadWriteTheFile, where I want to open/close the same file as often as needed,it is called by several functions while the class is still in extistence. By that I should point out the 
<P>CReadWriteTheFile is made   pRW = new CReadWriteTheFile; 
<P>So I expect the CFile which is part of the CReadWriteTheFile class is really on the stack ? assuming new always creates on the stack, not sure about that!
