<P>This is a copy of a message I posted in the BUGS area of this site - I guess that was the wrong place to put it as I have had no response - Apologies if this was the case.
<P>Whilst using the CListCtrlEx class in both CView derived classes and as a control in CDialog classes, I have observed the following strange behaviour:- 
<P>When dragging a window owned by the application i.e. About Box etc. over the List control, repainting works fine with minimal flicker. However when dragging a window NOT owned by the application i.e. Explorer, Task Manager etc. over the Control erratic redrawing takes place. This erratic behaviour sometimes leaves large area's of the Controls' Client area undrawn. I have tried the above with no items in the List Control, thus avoiding the 'DrawItem' function from being called and this still results in the Background of the control not being redrawn correctly. 
<P>As an experimental measure, if the entire client area is invalidated within the 'OnPaint' function this cures the symptom - As would be expected - but obviously results in the entire control being redrawn each time and generating unacceptable flicker. 
<P>When the 'Owner Drawn' style is set for a List Control are there other messages which need to be handled which have been overlooked in the CListCtrlEx class? 
<P>This behavour has been exhibited on both Windows '95 and NT Workstation V4.0 
<P>Any advice will be gratefully accepted.
