<P>Thanks for your advice.
<P>Firstly, I normally do not declare a class myself.  When I finish &quot;drawing&quot; out a dialog, I will be prompted to create a new class which I do.  And every function I added to this new class is set to be public, so how do I made it static ???  
<P>In declaring it static, I can use this function otherwhere else, provided I have included this header file, without having to declare a class variable, am I correct?
<P>Lastly, regarding this good book advice, will u recommend one that suits me :)
<BR>I have read Unleashed, Dummies, and 3 more books on basic VC++ &amp; MFC programming, even WIN NT API, but they never say how to do it, though they mention I can inherit functions of existing class if I declared a new class based on them.
<P>But for my case, the classes itself is already inheriting from CDialog class, how can I inherit other classes then?
