<P>The MFC CodeGuru for Jan'98 was <b>Mark Conway</b>. 

<P>Here's some information about himself that he has shared with us.

<P>I work for Micro Focus, based in Newbury, England  (about 50 miles due
west of London). Micro Focus is the world-leader in COBOL development
tools, and I've worked on many of their core products including the
compiler, debugger, re-engineering tools and others. Many of these tools
are actually written in COBOL, so I guess I amongst the few people who
can claim systems COBOL programming experience. I've been using Visual
C++ and MFC since it first got good (version 2.0), and seen Micro Focus
into a new way of writing GUI products. For the last year, I've been
working on Year 2000 analysis tools, which although not as exciting as
pushing back the frontiers of MFC is a bit more lucrative.   

<P>I'm 30 years old, one kid, degree from Oxford, and enjoy doing anything
active when I get the chance. Oh yes, and I'm MFC CodeGuru for January
'98.
