We won't have any more new awards for a while. There are two more CodeGurus to be announced though.
Voting for one of them is already over and voting for the next will take place after a few days.
The MFC CodeGuru of the Month award is given to the person whose article is voted as the
most useful. As this statement implies, to be eligible for the award, you have to contribute
an article on this site. Secondly, there will be a voting involved where visitors to this site
will vote for the author whose article they liked best. The winner will be profiled in this
page and will also receive the prize.
<P>MFC CodeGuru for December'97 is <b>Joerg Koenig</b> again. He was also the first CodeGuru (Oct'97).
<P>I'll be setting up the voting for the Jan'98 contest in a few days.

<p>Here's how it used to work:
<p>All the articles submitted and posted in month was listed in a separate page and visitors
were requested to vote for the author whose article they liked best. The voting period was
for 15 days in the following month.
<p>Please e-mail your entry to me at <A HREF="mailto:zafir@home.com">zafir@home.com</A>. Please try
to include explanations with the code. You can also send the zipped file of the project along with
the article.
<p>All this is subject to change depending on whether I receive a better suggestions. If you have some
ideas to improve this contest, do let me know. Please note that the basic purpose of this contest is to recognize the people
who contribute articles to this site to help other programmer's out, and therefore the rules may change
a bit although the spirit of the contest won't. Also note that I may not post an article if I feel that it doesn't
fit in with the others.
