Introduction</font></strong></p> <font size="4"> RemoteWAP is a Remote Administration Tool for any Operating System <br> that can support the Java Virtual Machine. It has been designed for anyone <br> who wishes to have complete control of there OS anywhere by using a WAP <br> enabled Mobile Phone. RemoteWAP is developed using Java and WML for the <br> client mobile phone front-end pages. RemoteWAP has a Java Swing-GUI to <br> allow for easy control. Future releases will have a Command Line Interface <br> for quick use</font><br><br> <p><strong><font size="4"><br><br>2. Pre-Install</font></strong></p> <font size="4"> Before you try and run RemoteWAP please make sure you have the following <br> system set-up: <br><br> - You have a X server running <br> - You have at least the Java SDK 1.4 (not tried with < 1.4)</font><br><br> <p><strong><font size="4"><br><br>3. Configuring</font></strong></p><font size="4"> </font> There is several ways in which you can customize RemoteWAP. The first way <br> is be editing the properties file, WAPServer.properties, in the root <br> directory of the application folder. This is the main configuration file <br> for the server. All you need to is look at a <br> .cmd file in the /commands directory and look how that is set up</font><br><br> <p><strong><font size="4"><br><br>5. Running</font></strong></p><font size="4"><br><br> To run RemoteWAP on you computer simply move to the src folder of the <br> application and run the following command to compile the WAPServer<br><br> <p>./compile</p><br><br> Then to launch the application run the following bash script<br><br> <p>./startServer</p><br><br> You can the connect to your IP address on the port number you defined in <br> the configure file. <br><br> *For testing purposes i used an emulator called deckit from Pyweb*</font><br><br> <p><strong><font size="4"><br><br>6.
