<UL><li> Short Code-Compile-Debug cycle <em>(...typical of Smalltalk development environments)</em>.
<li> <a href="RefactorMercilessly.html">RefactorMercilessly</a>.
<p></UL>Martin mentions that you start with a simple overall design (instead of <a href="BigDesignUpFront.html">BigDesignUpFront</a>, or nothing at all), and <a href="RefactorMercilessly.html">RefactorMercilessly</a> as the system emerges.
