<td><P><IMG height=33 alt=baidu.gif src="http://google8.51.net/archives/baidu.gif" width=100 border=0> 百度公司(Baidu.com，Inc) 于1999年底成立于美国硅谷。2000年1月，百度公司在中国成立了她的全资子公司百度网络技术（北京）有限公司，随后于同年10月成立了深圳分公司,2001年6月又在上海成立了上海办事处。 百度是国内最大的商业化全文搜索引擎，占国内80%的市场份额。其功能完备，搜索精度高，除数据库的规模及部分特殊搜索功能外，其他方面可与当前的搜索引擎业界领军人物<A href="http://www.google.com/"><U><FONT color=#800080>Google</FONT></U></A>相媲美，在中文搜索支持方面有些地方甚至超过了Google，是目前国内技术水平最高的<A href="http://www./archives/000031.html"><U>搜索引擎</U></A>。为包括<A href="http://www./archives/000085.html"><U>搜狐</U></A>、<A href="http://www./archives/000095.html"><U>雅虎</U></A>中国、Tom.com、21CN、广州视窗等搜索引擎，以及中央电视台、外经贸部等机构提供后台数据搜索支持。 </P><BR>
<P>百度目前主要提供中文（简/繁体）网页搜索服务。如无限定，默认以关键词精确匹配方式搜索。支持“-”号、“.”号、“|”号及“link:”等特殊搜索命令。此外还提供关键词分类搜索，即将常用关键词进行组合分类，方便用户直接查找有关资料（百度现已去掉了关键词分类搜索）。在搜索结果页面，百度还设置了关联搜索功能，方便访问者查询与输入关键词有关的其他方面的信息。提供“百度快照”查询。其他搜索功能包括新闻搜索、网站网址链接、MP3搜索、图片搜索、Flash搜索等。 </P><BR>

<P><B>百度历史</B> 这个人，名叫李彦宏，典型的“海归”，1999年从硅谷回国创业。这个公司叫百度，一家做搜索引擎的典型网络技术型公司，“百度”两个字取自辛弃疾的“众里寻他千百度，蓦然回首，那人却在灯火阑珊处。”李彦宏是百度公司总裁。 </P><BR>
<P>■李彦宏不平凡—— 他在著名搜索引擎google、infoseek、yahoo在网络世界如日中天的时候，逆风飞扬，回到中国来搞中国人自己的搜索引擎； 他和IT界头号人物比尔·盖茨、迈克·戴尔一样，放弃了唾手可及的“洋博士”学位，辍学经商，一举成功； 他在2000年6月互联网的寒冬里，不但一举拿下新浪、搜狐、网易、TOM的技术委托大单，而且第二次融资1000万美金成功。 他回国不到2年，仅凭一个不到百人的公司家底，夺得“2002中国十大IT风云人物”的桂冠。 他创建的百度引擎，三年成名，在中国已经堪与google比肩，在某些指标方面甚至超过google，被国际网络界誉为奇迹。百度的日访问量，现在已经跻身中国网站“四强”。 </P><BR>
<P>■Google情未了！ 2003年6月4日下午4：30，百度总裁李彦宏和市场总监毕胜在苦等一个结果。从创建百度到融资1000万美元，从卖技术给新浪挖到第一桶金，到搞自己的独立搜索网站，从8个人的草台班创业到100人的“闪电计划”，李彦宏等的就是一个结果——是百度好还是Google好？ 自从2000年Google推出中文版后，“上帝”像暖风般吹醉了中国人，对“上帝”赞不绝口的，首先就是那些记者和编辑，像刘韧、方兴东这样的“名记”，几乎逢人便要说“今天你GoGo了没有？”据说后来方兴东突然不用Google了，原因是，他突然发现，他大名鼎鼎的“方兴东”三个字居然在Google上搜不出结果。 李彦宏要用百度与Google比，“聪明人”一看就觉得是拿鸡蛋与石头比。可李彦宏不这样看，他认为百度成“金”了。自2002年年底“闪电计划”结束后，他就要求公司的人“绝对不要再用Google，百度已经不比Google差！”遇见道上的朋友，李彦宏不好“赤化”别人，就由市场总监毕胜“代唠”：“百度已经不比Google差！”据说被他们“赤化”的朋友，没有一个认为上当受骗，比较中肯的评价认为，“在中文领域，百度和Google一样好用了！”。 由中国电脑教育报举办的“Google Vs Baidu——两大搜索引擎对决搜索之巅”万人公测，在2003年6月4日下午16⌨️ 快捷键说明
