<td><P style="LINE-HEIGHT: 120%"><FONT color=#000000>Patrick Ahern很清楚Google的力量，少了它，生意还真不好作。 <BR>他所任职总裁的数据复原集团(Data Recovery Group)向来在Google搜寻引擎上名列第四，而今年一月，Google在无预警的情况下将该公司排除在搜寻结果之外，结果该公司业务马上下跌了30%。 <BR><BR>「排名第四，生意一帆风顺；一旦被除名，洽询电话也一落千丈。而若你又没跟Google打好关系，你甚至不知道自己怎么被除名的。」Ahern表示，他认为这将有危险的骨牌效应。「一旦你没被列在Google搜寻中，Yahoo也不会有你的数据，这种连带关系真是可怕了。」 <BR><BR>在网络泡沫化之后，Google不仅没受影响，反而一枝独秀，一跃成了网络龙头。网友喜欢使用它的搜寻服务，证明它是网络上的头号搜寻引擎。由于Google太过强大，许多公司甚至认为它就代表整个Web网络：你若没被列入Google搜寻检索中，你根本就不存在。甚至有人表示，而若你没向Google下广告，或动用其它关系，你根本无法获得有力的搜寻排名。 <BR><BR>部分业界务实人士表示，以Google在网络搜寻上的影响力，Google应有责任力求检索各家网站的合理性；有人也主张应当将Google当作半官方机构来规范，例如上周美国一家俄? <BR>搜寻引擎的作法在今年一场大会中引起业界高度重视，与会者纷纷强调应有管理政策保护网站免于受搜寻引擎的挟制。 <BR><BR>其中几项建议包括搜寻引擎业者应该给予所有违规者公平且一致性的大量散发警告政策，而非只给予广告客户另外，大会中也建议订出标准的审核作业流程，让网站了解为何他们无法被列入检索系统中，同时也给予他们必要的信息，提高被列入搜寻的机会。 <BR><BR>Google技术长Craig Silverstein否认该公司给予广告客户特别待遇，关于排名更动的问题，他表示他们不可能提供支持给每家网站，毕竟他们每天要检索21亿个网页。但Google目前也在检讨他们的系统，避免太多批评声浪影响大众对他们的信赖。 <BR><BR>部分行销业者为了能在Google搜寻结果中名列前茅，不惜使出游击战术，操作搜寻排名顺序。Google唯一公开的搜寻方法便是PageRank，亦即依据某一网站被连结的次数来计算该网站的热门度。这也使得业界出现所谓的「大量连结」(link farm)机制，藉由一套复杂的连结机制来让操控Google搜寻。 <BR><BR>许多业界主管猜测Google为了对抗这类「大量连结」技术，因此在今年九月更改了搜寻方式，因此导至搜寻排名的更动，同时搜寻结果数量也较以前大为减少。此一变动也使得许多网站叫苦连天，纷纷上网求助，SearchEngineForums便涌入数千封讨论讯息。 <BR><BR>Google-watch.org监督网站站主Daniel Brandt抱怨PageRank宛如是竞赛热门度，偏袒大型商业网站。「不知道是<STRONG>Google</STRONG>反映了网站热门度，还是Google创造了这些网站的热门度。」 <BR>一切向搜寻精准度看齐 <BR><BR>Google执行长Silverstein强调Google不会在搜寻结果上偏袒广告客户也不会拿小网站开刀除名。他表示，Google经常会更动搜寻方式，强化他们的搜寻品质，而最近搜寻结果会有变动主要是因为更新更为频繁之故。 <BR><BR>至于业者采用的「大量散发」与「大量连结」策略，<STRONG>Goolge</STRONG>认为这只会导至搜寻结果不精确，进而影响Google信誉，而这这是目前Google最重视的部分。 <BR><BR>「我们必需经常对抗这些技术上的滥用，并提供精确的搜寻结果。」Silverstein表示。「使用者以Google当工具，但又无法加以控制，这时候有无『信赖感』就显得很重要。我们必须让网友相信我们产生的结果绝对可靠才行。」 <BR>部分人士也认为这类批评Google的声浪其实是一种阴谋论，搜寻引擎并无须对网站的搜寻名次负责。 <BR><BR>「有人心生不满，Google就成了众矢之的，但这都是为了保护搜寻的相关性。」Alchemist Media总裁Jessie Stricchiola表示。该公司协助网站增加流量。「搜寻结果变动当然有可能会衍生问题，因为这会影响你的传销管道，但网络不断演化，本质就是如此，这并非Google的问题。 </FONT></P><BR></td>
