If you've ever played Maxis' classic game SimCity 2000
you'll understand my fascination with this National
Geographic feature on the secret underground workings of
the Big Apple. Using interesting images and informative
text the pages take you on a tour of the support systems
that fuel the city. You can also take an audio tour of the
feature and browse an extensive photo archive filled with
unforgettable images.

This prestigious weekly journal of science
has an impressive Web site. Like
Scientific American, Nature serves web-
exclusive content, which changes
frequently. In addition to the articles you'll
find a comprehensive calendar of science
events, a listing of industry job openings
and an archive of published material
dating back to 1995. Nature's web
designers have taken great care to make
the site compatible with almost any
browser (including the command line
Lynx). They provide excellent navigation
aids and pleasant graphics that don't take
forever to load.
