<H3 >WWA's 22nd Annual Convention Report</H3>
<p>(October 21, 2002 - Lenexa, Kansas) The city that never sleeps got a taste of the
waterpark industry during the 22nd Annual World Waterpark Association (WWA) Symposium & Trade
Show held October 7-11, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The WWA walked away a winner at this year's Annual
Convention with attendance, convention and membership revenue all showing an increase over 2001.
A total of 1,768 people attended the premier water leisure trade event, with convention registration
revenue up 59 percent over 2001. Park Membership revenue through September was up 23 percent over
2001 and Supplier Membership revenue was up 18 percent over 2001.</p>
<p>"We saw a terrific response from our park and supplier members this year," stated Rick Root, WWA President.
"The 59 percent increase in convention registration revenue and the 23 percent increase in park membership revenue are
strong growth indicators for our Association. Members are telling us the WWA provides a great return on investment and our
new products and services will help build their businesses."
