I may not use it because I prefer to keep this list smalland focused, but if the site meets my criteria, I'll be happy to addits URL below.</p><h5>Related FAQs</h5><ul><li>The comp.os.programmer.win32 API FAQ has an <ahref="http://www.iseran.com/Win32/FAQ/section6.html">InternetProgramming</a> page you should check out.<li>PCAUSA has <ahref="http://www.pcausa.com/resources/Default.htm">several FAQs</a>related to the layers <i>below</i> Winsock: TDI and NDIS.<li>Thamer Al-Herbish has a FAQ about <ahref="http://www.whitefang.com/rin/">Raw IP Networking</a> on Unixlikeplatforms. True, it does not cover Winsock, but it is often easier togive Windows a miss if you want to build an application reqiring rawsocket I/O.<li>There is a close relation to the WinsockProgrammer's FAQ that you may want to take a look at: the <ahref="http://www.lcg.org/sock-faq/">Unix Socket FAQ</a>.<li>The <a href="http://www.itprc.com/tcpipfaq/">TCP/IP FAQ</a>is useful for Winsockers, though when it dips into programming issuesit maintains a Unix sockets viewpoint. </ul><h5>Miscellaneous Pages</h5><ul> <li><a href="http://www.sockets.com/">Sockets.com</a> is thepremier starting point for Winsock investigations. Much of its contentis based on the book <i><a href="../reviews/wsnp.html">Windows SocketsNetwork Programming</a></i>.<li><a href="http://www.stardust.com/">StardustTechnologies</a> hosts the Winsock Resource Center and the <ahref="http://www.stardust.com/archives/winsoc.html">Winsock2 MailingList Archive</a>. In some ways, it has more information than sockets.com,but it tends to lag behind the leading edge.<li>RamG's <a href="http://members.xoom.com/ramgs/">VBWinsock Page</a>should be helpful to all of you VB Winsockers out there.<li>Ed Snible's <ahref="http://www.goodnet.com/~esnible/winsock.html">Windows SocketsProgramming</a> has a few gems, but it appears to be dead (i.e.present, but not moving :) ).<li>The excellent <a href="http://www.codeguru.com/">MFC Programmer'sSourceook</a> site has two sections with some good Winsock code:the <a href="http://www.codeguru.com/internet/">Internet</a> and<a href="http://www.codeguru.com/network/">Network Programming</a>sections. The former concentrates on pure Winsock stuff, with a leaningtowards MFC-based code.
