It's also
waiting for network events. That is, it's waiting for data to come
from the server. And since we don't already have a built-in framework
for receiving these messages through callbacks, we have to set
something up ourselves.</p><p>Remember that the last thing our constructor did was to create a new
thread, a little bit like the server does. However, this is done for
a very different reason, which is that we are running as an applet.</p><p>In this case, we create a background thread that will run the
client's while-read/write loop. We'll do this in the next
