I use MKS Source Integrity and I am pretty happy with it. The command
line support was a major consideration for me because I use the command
line more than GUI but I think SI's GUI is pretty well thought out. You
can do everthing that you can do from the command line with the GUI. I
have had some problems with the GUI version crashing under NT (there is an
NT version which I DON'T have).
As far as other VC systems go: I've tried PVCS, it's the most powerful
but it is slow, and I don't particularly like it, plus it is overpriced.
Microsoft's Source Safe is overpriced(although you get support for all
platforms in one box), although I have not tried it out. Versions 1.1 has
a very nice interface but couldn't compete in terms of power and features.
Anyway as I said I think MKS SI 7.1 offers the best balance of price and
power.
