Check CICA mirrors in the Win3/Util directory... here's several:
  ftp.cica.indiana.edu //win3/util
  ftp.orst.edu //pub/mirrors/
  freebsd.cdrom.com //.5/cica/util/
  micros.hensa.ac.uk //mirrors/cica/win3/util
You might try INSTEZ14.ZIP.. It's not named "Install/Easy" for
nothing (but I'm biased, being the author).

Subject: Install Shield packaging list not using thermometer bar correctly.

I'm using Install Shield and am trying to install quite a few files
from floppies. I have about 16 seperate compressed files each
containing about 20 files, except for two which contain 150. I have
split them across disks to fill 9 diskettes for an uncompressed total
of about 25 meg. I am using a packaging list and have run it through
the packlist program and copied it onto the first disk. When I first
started this installer program the thermometer bar on my status window
was progressing across the screen fine. I'm using the
FileSetBegin/End and FileSetPerform routines to copy the files off the
installer. As I added software (not changing the routines that copy
the files) my thermometer bar has become incorrect. It will truck
across the screen on the first few files and just hang at 100% for
awhile, then maybe go back to 0. There is no method to it's madness
that I can see. I have rebuild the compressed files and packaging
list more times then I can imagine, and short of rewriting it, I can't
find what could be wrong.

If anyone has had this problem, or a similair one, or can shed some
light on my problem, I'd appreciate it, since the deadline for the
installer has passed.

Thanks.

I've had similar problems with the cmoOverwrite not doing what the
documentation says. I wanted our product setup to replace an existing
icon, if it was for the same executable in the same location. (And I do
want to specify the working directory, as you're doing.)

I finally gave up. Most of our users seem to accept that if you install
a second time, you get a second set of icons. They don't seem to mind
that the behavior isn't what *I* wanted to give them. Fortunately.

If anyone else has a workaround, I would sure like to hear it.

I don't know if this is related to your problem, because I can't
make the connection between the above syntax and the usual DDE, but...

There is a documented bug in the Reload() macro (see MSDN
        Q95981 04/23/1993). I can't remember the workaround (perhaps delete
it and then add it again?). You might be able to find the article
in the knowledge base at gopher.microsoft.com.
