Responses to the questions asked in each lesson are recorded in the <i>Study Guide</i>.</p><p>                                    <b>Application</b>                                    <br>A crucial element in a lesson is the student reflection. During the reflection the students think back upon some aspect of the lesson, and write a reaction to that aspect in the Study Guide. As a way of goal setting, this internalization of learning assists the students in making sense of the learning process, and in linking prior learning to present and future learning, It helps them analyze, and then move the learning from short term to long term memory.</p><p>After each lesson, reflection is done in one or more of the following categories:</p><ul type="disc"><li>content</li><li>product</li><li>process</li><li>progress</li></ul><p>Throughout the year, it is beneficial to have the students look back at the reflections and note the growth in their understanding.
