The
.PN nfssetup
command is an interactive facility that allows you to set up
or modify NFS on your system.
A local area network must be set up on your system
before you can set up NFS.

The
.PN nfssetup
command allows you to either enable or disable the NFS locking service.
In addition, the
.PN nfssetup
command appends entries to the
.PN /etc/exports
and
.PN /etc/fstab
files.

To remove entries from the
.PN /etc/exports
or
.PN /etc/fstab
you must edit them by hand.
The
.PN nfssetup
command only appends entries to these files.

You can run
.PN nfssetup
while the system is in multiuser mode.
To run
.PN nfssetup ,
type the following
and then answer the questions:

# /etc/nfssetup

When
.PN nfssetup
has completed,
reboot the system.

If you use 
.PN dms 
to set up your system as a diskless server before running 
.PN nfssetup ,
.PN dms
will automatically call the 
.PN nfssetup 
utility to set up a default NFS server environment.
