is

hop
or
jump

ground.
Others
walk
more
slowly,
or
crawl
still
more
slowly.
Do
you
know
that
plants
are
travelers,
too?
And
that
they
also
travel
by
land,
by
water
and
by
air?
Most
plants
stay
in
the
same
spot
from
the
time
they
begin
to
grow
until
they
die.
But
the
next
season
you
find
many
of
them
growing
in
new
places.
How
do
they
get
there?
Some
plants
travel
by
land.
They
have
seeds
that
fall
to
the
ground
and
grow
there.
Others
send
out
offshoots
or
sprouts
which
start
new
plants
nearby.
