SUMMARY forsemi
#include <tools.h>
int forsemi(pstr, pProc, args)
char *pstr;
flagType (*pProc)();
unsigned args;
flagType Proc(pstrSub, pArgs); /* routine called for each enumerated file */
char *pstrSub;
unsigned *pArgs;
DESCRIPTION
pstr is a pointer to a string containing zero or more semicolons. The
callback routine is called one or more times with a pointer to a substring
delimited by semicolons. The substring does NOT contain semicolons. The
first time the routine is called, pstrSub is equal to pstr. If pstr
contains no semicolons, the routine is called only once.
The callback routine can terminate enumeration by returning non-zero or
continue the enumeration by returning zero.
RETURN VALUE
forsemi returns TRUE if enumeration is terminated at the request of the
callback routine otherwise FALSE is returned.
IMPLEMENTATION
char *p1, p;
p = pstr;
do {
p1 = pointer to next ";" after p
save char at p1
*p1 = 0, i.e. modify source string
f = (*pProc)(p, &args)
p = p1
*p++ = saved char
if (f)
return TRUE, callback routine terminated loop
} while saved char not equal to '\0'
return FALSE

NOTE
WARNING: The source string is modified by forsemi but is restored when
forsemi returns.
EXAMPLE
#include <tools.h>
flagType DoPrint(pstrSub, pArgs)
char *pstrSub;
unsigned *pArgs;
{
printf("Substring \"%s\"\n", pstrSub);
return (strcmp(pstrSub, "stop") == 0);
}
main(c, argv)
int c;
char *argv[];
{
forsemi("no semicolons here", DoPrint); /* no args */
forsemi("msc forsemi.c;msc find.c;stop;msc help.c", DoPrint);
