Web4Groups' JTAPI 1.0


The Web4Groups consortium releases their 1.0 JTAPI library for public domain. 
Please find some general information and the conditions for usage here.

The Web4Groups-JTAPI 1.0 library implements the core, media and capabilities package 
of the JTAPI specification (http://www.javasoft.com/products/jtapi/), tailored to the 
needs of Web4Groups. The Java (tm) library is developed to run on a Microsoft (tm) 
Windows NT 4.0 workstation which comes with TAPI 2.0. It has been tested with 
Dialogic (tm) hardware only (D/41E and D/41D boards).

The Web4Groups-JTAPI 1.0 library has been implemented by Kapsch AG (http://www.kapsch.net) 
in close cooperation with PUBLIC VOICE Labor (http://Web4Groups.at:9000/goto?pvl), who is 
responsible for developing a phone and fax gateway for the Web4Groups service.




Terms and Conditions for Web4Groups-JTAPI 1.0 Usage and Modification


   1.Parties may use, adapt, extend and redistribute the library without paying royalty 
     fees.

   2.Because the library is given free of charge, there is no warranty for the library for 
     completeness, merchantability or fitness.

   3.All parties who intend to use, adapt or extend the Web4Groups-JTAPI library, have to 
     register at Web4Groups and subscribe for membership in the respective JTAPI workspace
     (http://Web4Groups.at:9000/goto?JTAPI). The workspace gives access to the latest 
     releases and respective notes. To register, click the 'login' button at the top of 
     the workspace page and fill out all contact details in the registration dialogue for 
     new users (please full name, address and company details). Then click 'subscribe', 
     which will show up on the workspace page as soon as you are logged in. Membership 
     requests are usually answered within 3 workdays, until you get access to the workspace.

   4.In any product documentation, announcements or advertisements for products, that are 
     using the Web4Groups JTAPI library or any parts or extensions of it, there must be a 
     copyleft note. This note has to be announced as following: 

        - On printed paper: 
              "JTAPI library by the Web4Groups consortium" 
        - In HTML documents: 
              "JTAPI library by the Web4Groups consortium (http://Web4Groups.at)" 
        - In e-mail documents: 
              "JTAPI library by the Web4Groups consortium (http://Web4Groups.at)" 


   5.Parties may redistribute the source code of version 1.0 of this library on any media. 
     The library must include these Terms and Conditions, without further restrictions.

   6.Parties that make adaptions, extensions and improvements of the library must submit 
     them to the Web4Groups JTAPI workspace to ensure the availability of the latest 
     versions for the Web4Groups Developer Platform. Any new release has to be submitted 
     within one month of the release date to the JTAPI workspace 
     (http://Web4Groups.at:9000/goto?JTAPI) or by sending it as e-mail attachment to 
     [e-mail]

   7.Parties not following the given conditions are subject to a lawsuit by the Web4Groups 
     Developer Platform or any of its members.
