The install directions have changed with the addition of readline.

I've created a small script which *should* compile everything;
type ./install to run it.

The compilation isn't real clean; readline seems to enjoy spamming
your screen.  Sorry about that.  Maybe I'll work on it a bit.

If you wish, you can edit src/Makefile.in first (though I don't
think it should be necessary).
