\fBmodemtalk\fP \- Connects terminal to a remote modem.

[-m \fIdev\fP] [-h] [-v]

.SH DESCRIPTION
\fImodemtalk\fP is a tool used in combination with xcomm(1) and
modemcontrol(1). It is used to talk to a modem device by redirecting
input from your terminal to the
modem and vice versa. Its behavior is like an ordinary serial communication
program (for example like minicom) but without any features like down or
upload functionality.

.SH OPTIONS
\fImodemtalk\fP accepts the following options:
.TP 8
.B -h
This causes \fImodemtalk\fP to print out a verbose message describing its
options.
.TP 8
.BI -m  " dev"
This option instructs \fImodemtalk\fP to use \fIdev\fP as modem device.
.TP 8
.B -v
Prints the version number of \fImodemtalk\fP to standard output.

.SH ENVIRONMENT
\fImodemtalk\fP uses the environment variable \fBMODEM\fP to determine the
modem device to use. This can be overruled by specifying the -d command line
option.
