After choosing this option a menu will appear asking for the new baud and afteryou choose the new baud the program will replace all the bauds in the rangewith the new one..PP.I Change device.PPThis option allows you to change the device of any range of systems. Afterchoosing this option a menu will appear asking for the new device andafter you choose the new device the program will replace all the devicesin the range with the new one. I.e, you got another modem and now you wantall your systems to use it..PP.I Username.PPThis option allows you to change the username of any range of systems. Afterchoosing this option a menu will appear asking for the new username andafter you choose the new username the program will replace all the usernamesin the range with the new one. I.e, you got a new account in a network ofBBSs and you want all of them to use it..PP.I Colors.PPThis option allows you to change the color of any range of systems. Afterchoosing this option a menu will appear asking for the new color andafter you choose the new color the program will replace all the colorsin the range with the new one. I.e, you got bored of green and now you likeblue..PP.I Terminal.PPThis option allows you to change the terminal emulation of any range of systems. After choosing this option a menu will appear asking for the new terminal emulation and after you choose the new emulation the program will replace all the terminal emulations in the range with the new one. I.e, your favourite BBS network started working on AVATAR in addition to ANSI..PP.I Prefix / Suffix.PPThese options allow you to change the prefixes and suffixes of any range of systems. After choosing this option a menu will appear asking for the new prefix or suffix and after you choose the new prefix or suffix the program will replace all the prefixes or suffixes in the range with the new one. .PP.I Tag range.PPThis options allows you to tag a certain range so that you could easilytag lots of entries without needing to go over each one of them manually..PP.I Tag all with password.PPThis option allows you to tag a range of systems that have the same password..PP.I Copy password.PPThis option allows you to copy a new password to a certain range withoutneeding to go over each entry manually..PP.I Clear costs / time / connects.PPThese options allow you to set the costs/time/connects to 0 and thusstart a new counting all over again..PP.B Save.PPThis option is initiated by pressing 'v' or 'V' and will save the currentphonebook to disk..PP.B Phonebook.PPThis options is initiated by pressing 'p' or 'P' and it lets you choosea new phonebook while in the program. After pressing the key a file managerwill appear, choose the file you want as the new phonebook and press enter.A menu will appear asking you to define whether the file is a Terminateor Telix phonebook, not answering correctly will cause the program to crash.More details on the file manager you can find in the uploading and downloading section..PP.B Default.PPThis options is initiated by pressing 'a' or 'A' and it changes the defaultphonebook to the current one. You must save the configuration for this totake effect..SH SCROLLBACKThe scrollback feature lets you view screens that have already scrolled pastthe current screen. Inside the scrollback screen itself there are severalfunction keys. Pressing 't' or 'T' will start the tagger. For more information about the tagger read the section about it. Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Iwill start the image saver, see the use section about the image saver.Use the arrow keys to move up and down and you can also use pgup, pgdn,home and end..PP.SH TAGGERThe tagger feature lets you "tag" files from the screen and put them in alist for later use. To use the tagger press Ctrl-Alt-V and mark the filesyou want. To mark a file just use the arrow keys and press space on thefile you want. If you want to resize the length of the tag-bar just usehome and end. Since most BBSs use DOS and have only 12 letters long file names, the tagger does not support longer names. To send the tagged filespress Ctrl-Alt-N. To move around in the tag sending screen use the arrowkeys and pgdn, pgup, home and end. In the left box you have several options, below is a list of all the options and what they do..PP.I Clear all.PPPressing 'c' or 'C' will clear all the entries in the list..PP.I Delete tagged.PPPressing 'd' or 'D' will delete all the tagged entries from the list..PP.I Add entry.PPPressing 'a' or 'A' will add a new entry which you will be able to editafterwards..PP.I Edit entry.PPPressing 'e' or 'E' will let you edit the current entry..PP.I Untag.PPPressing 'u' or 'U' will untag the current entry..PP.I Del remove.PPPressing the delete key will delete the current entry..PP.I Space tag.PPPressing space will tag the current entry..PP.I + Tag+13.PPPressing '+' will send the list of tagged tag-files to the modem seperatingthem with ASCII 13 (\\r)..PP.I - Tag+32.PPPressing '-' will send the list of tagged tag-files to the modem seperatingthem with ASCII 32 which is space..PP.I Tagged.PPThis shows the number of files currently tagged..PP.SH UPLOADING AND DOWNLOADINGTo upload press the pgup key. After doing so a menu will open and youcan choose from five different protocols. Choose the one you want by pressingenter and a file manager will appear. To download use the pgdn key andchoose the protocol you want. If the protocol you chose needs a file nameto work a window with an edit line will appear asking you for a file name..PP.B File manager.PPThe file manager lets you choose the files you want to upload with greatease. It has many options and is very easy to use. To navigate throughthe directories and files simply use the arrow keys. The home, end, pgup andpgdn keys are also available. Pressing 's' or 'S' will change the sortingkey from name to size to date and back. Pressing 't' or 'T' will open awindow asking you for an estimated cps of transfer and then it will calculatethe estimated time of transfer according to the total size of the tagged files and the given cps..SH MACROSThe macros are pre-configured strings that are attached to each of thefunction keys, F1-F10. When you press one of these keys a string is sent tothe modem after being proccessed by termite. Termite recognizes a few symbols in the macros: .PP!P is replaced by the current active password. If you called through a dialer the password will be the password from the connected entry in the phonebook. .PP!S is the current username and is also obtained from the entry's information..PP^X is replaced by a single character of value X-65. I.e, if you wrote ^Athen it will be replaced by ASCII 0, because the value of 'A' is 65 and 65-65=0. This is most useful if you need to make common strings like sendingyour username followed by an enter (!S^M)..SH CONFIGURATIONThe configuration menu is a menu from which all of the configureable featuresin termite can be configured in an easy and fast way..PP.B Colors.PPThe colors option opens a menu that allows you to configure virtually everycolor in the program so that you can have the best combinations you canmake for yourself. Inisde the colors menu you have many options. Eachoption corresponds to a different color of menus, hotkeys, windows and anything else in the program that uses colors..PP.I Information.PPThis option sets the color of all information windows. Information windowsare windows like the online warning window and error reporting windows..PP.I Information bold.PPThis option sets the text-color of the text inside information windows..PP.I Terminal.PPThis option sets the color of the terminal itself. By changing this coloryou only change the default color on startup but after viewing ANSIs orany other color emulation the color of the terminal will change..PP.I Status line.PPThis option sets the color of the status line which is the lowest line onyour screen at all times..PP.I Menus.PPThis option sets the color of all the menus in the program. Examples of menusare the configuration menu and the color menu, etc..PP.I Menu title.PPThis option sets the color of the menu title, which is also known as theheadline. Changing this will affect all the menus in the program..PP.I Menu text.PPThis option sets the color of text written in menus..PP.I Menu text bold.PPThis option sets the color of bold text in menus. Bold text is basiclythe hotkey of menu options..PP.I Menu options.PPThis option sets the color of options in menus. The name does not really reflect the real meaning. The actual meaning is the text that shows valuesin menus like the toggles option in the configuration menu..PP.I Edit.PPThis option sets the color of the editboxes. All edit boxes will use thiscolor to edit..PP.I Menu bar.PPThis option sets the color of the bar itself that is used to navigate throughmenus..PP.I Phonebook text.PPThis option sets the color of the text written in the phonebook. By thisI mean the upper two lines and the lowest line..PP.I Phone bar.PPThis option sets the color of the bar in the phonebook and dialing directory..PP.I Help.PPThis option sets the color of the text in the help screen..PP.I Help bold.PPThis option sets the color of the bold text in the help screen. Bold textis used to highlight the hotkeys for all the menus..PP.I Chat remote.PPThis option sets the color of the text in the remote window of the EMSIchatter..PP.I Chat local.PPThis option sets the color of the text in the local windows of the EMSIchatter..PP.B Status.PPThe status option allows you to configure the status line's default settingsand a few other general settings..PP.I Status start online.PPThis option sets the default setting to use as the section 1 of the statusline when carrier is detected.
