Alphanumeric paging program.

.SH OPTIONS

\fB-p\fR Pager number

( or alias from /danpage/danpagerc or ~/danpagerc )

\fB-c\fR Phone number of central paging server

(Optional if specified in danpagerc configuration file as 'central')

\fB-d\fR Serial device to use ( i.e. /dev/cua1 or /dev/modem)

(Optional, defaults to /dev/modem or can be specified
 in danpagerc configuration file as 'device')

\fB-r\fR If busy, redial this many times before quitting.

(Optional if specified in danpagerc configuration file as 'redials')

\fB-b\fR Set modem port bits per second (default 1200)

(Also settable with bps parameter in rc file)

\fB-t\fR Truncate long messages to <length> bytes (default 80)

(Also settable with truncate parameter in rc file)

\fB-m\fR Send long messages as packets <length> bytes long. (default 250)

(Also settable with packetsize parameter in rc file)

\fB-M\fR Split long messages into separate messages <length> bytes long.

\fB-w\fR If active device lockfile is found,
 wait until it is gone, then continue.

\fB-s\fR Suppress the signature string, if any.

\fB-q\fR Quiet mode, no stdout output. Useful when piping output
 from a program to danpage.

\fB-i\fR Ignore device lock file, if any.

\fB-u\fR Replace sig string with username@host

(unless -s option is used).

.SH OPERATION

\fBdanpage\fR sends alphanumeric pages using IXO/TAP protocol.
The runtime configuration file \fB/danpage/danpagerc\fR can
contain pager aliases, default central phone #, modem initialization
string, default serial device, default bits per second,
and default number of redials if busy.
See the example \fBdanpagerc\fR included in the source directory
for examples. You may also have a \fBdanpagerc\fR file in your
home directory. This file can contain additional pager aliases
and a 'sig' (signature) string. The sig string, if used, will be
appended to all pages sent.

.SH PORT SPEEDS SUPPORTED
\fB300\fR, \fB1200\fR, \fB2400\fR, \fB4800\fR, \fB9600\fR,
\fB19200\fR, \fB38400\fR (default 1200)

(Note: if the modem port is set up for spd_hi or spd_vhi, a setting of
\fB38400\fR may correspond to an actual speed of \fB57600\fR or \fB115200\fR)
