A new cable fault location method based on wavelet reconstruction is proposed. In this method the difference between the currents of faulty phase and sound phase under the high voltage pulse excitation is used as the measured signal and is decomposed in multi-scale by wavelet transform, then reconstructed in single scale. Comparing with traditional fault location method by travelling wave, the presented method will not be interfered by the reflected wave from the branch joint of cables or from other positions where the impedances are not matched and not be influenced by fault types, otherwise, the reflected waves can be recognized even the faulty position is near to the Measuring terminal, at the same time, the influence of the wave speed uncertainty can be reduced. The correctness of the proposed method is proved by simulation results.

The task of clustering Web sessions is to group Web sessions based on similarity and consists of maximizing the intra- group similarity while minimizing the inter-group similarity． The first and foremost question needed to be considered in clustering W b sessions is how to measure the similarity between Web sessions．However．there are many shortcomings in traditiona1 measurements．This paper introduces a new method for Measuring similarities between Web pages that takes into account not only the URL but also the viewing time of the visited web page．Yhen we give a new method to measure the similarity of Web sessions using sequence alignment and the similarity of W eb page access in detail Experiments have proved that our method is valid and e币cient．

This chapter contains sample programs for determining capacity. The reader is advised to go through the coding. The file "capacity_water.m" is for Measuring the waterfilling capacity.
